HBSMR WEB can publish record details pages from every module of HBSMR, including:

Consultations, Designations, Events, Finds, HLC, Monuments, Organisations, People, Sources, Themes, Thesaurus Terms

Which modules are published is fully configurable during the implementation of HBSMR Web.

Record details are accessed in four main ways:

  • Search engines will index those pages that are visible to anonymous users. Indexing will be more effective if you submit sitemaps.
  • The HBSMR Web Search function.
  • HBSMR Web interactive maps (the main map, search results map, and the maps on record detail pages)
  • Links between records (e.g. the Sources on a Monument record detail page can be hyperlinks to the Source details pages).

The information shown on record detail pages is fully configurable. Pages can show any data that is held in the "browser cache", which is in turn fully extensible. However, the configuration of what is shown is achieved using Razor views, and so is a developer task rather than for a website administrator. This configuration is achieved during the implementation of an HBSMR WEB site, but can of course be changed at any time subject to the ability to deploy a new version to the web server.

Record detail pages can include images and documents from LibraryLink. This requires the LibraryLink Web Service.

Details pages can also include social sharing and commenting if desired. These provide simple ways of engaging more audiences and allowing them to provide feedback and new information to the HER.
