The Designations Module is designed to record and manage information about statutory and other designations, cross-referencing them to Monuments and Sources, and linking them to mapped features in separate GIS layers.

Each record stores information about a specific Designation, normally a legal or registered status, such as a Scheduled Monument, Local List Entry, Listed Building, Conservation Area or Registered Park and Garden. The database record can be linked to mapped features, and each different type of Designation can be held in a separate GIS layer.
